by Greg LaBarge, Fulton County
On March 8th Dr Mark Loux, Ohio State University Extension Weed Specialist, will be at the Fulton County Extension Office, 8770 State Route 108, Wauseon, OH from 10:30 am till 11:45 am. The topic of the day will be Control Recommendation for Burcucumber. Mark did some research to refine recommendations for burcucumber control in 2010 in the southern part of the state and plans follow-up research in 2011 including some plots in Fulton County.
The program will cover the research results form 2010 on control program in corn and also get a better feel for some things you have used and successes or failures to help guide the research. Obviously other weeds and herbicide programs can be a part of the discussion with Mark here as well.
Also if you can not make the program you maybe interested in an article Mark wrote in the last Crop Observation and Recommendation Network (C.O.R.N.) Newsletter. You can find it at http://corn.osu.edu/newsletters/2011/2011-04.
