2011 Agronomy Day Program

The program will open with the introductions, recognition of sponsors and updates from the Soil and Water Conservation Service, the Natural Resources Conservation Service, and the Farm Service Agency.

The first morning session will cover “Crop Insurance Updates” from the Williamson’s Insurance Agency.  The following session will look at “Weed Management for Corn and Soybeans” presented by Mark Loux, Extension Specialist in Weed Management.

After lunch Pierce Paul, Extension Specialist in Plant Pathology, will discuss “Managing Wheat for Yield & Quality”.  The final session of the program will cover the “Risk & Reward in Nutrient Management,” by Robert Mullen, Extension Specialist, Soil Fertility/Nutrient Management.  The program will conclude with an evaluation and summary to end the day.

A program registration fee of $10 will be collected at the door.  Please contact Paulding County OSU Extension office to pre-register by sending an mail to lopshire.1@osu.edu or by calling 419.399.8225.  Lunch will be provided.
